Performance features of the GPC module ‘Condition Analysis’
(Short description)

1. Target of the analysis module
GPC developed a standard tool for the analysis of all types of freight conditions. This enables the user to find out when a condition has been used the last time (if used at all) and how often it has been used.
Besides a link is available to show the shipments using the demanded conditions. For runtime reasons the tool consists of two parts:
- Overview in batch. This variant doesn’t enable the user to change master data.
- Online function for analysis of the detail per condition type with the possibility to mark conditions for deletion.

2. Selection screen
The following fields are provided (according to SAP standard rules) for the selection of the freight results and conditions available in the system:
  - Condition type (from-to)
  - Conditions active/inactive/marked for deletion
  - Calculation date (from-to)
  - Procedure (from-to)
  - Currency (required for batch)

The screen contains an additional parameter:
  - Number in total of the condition records to be selected (Default = 2000)

After pushing the button ‘Process’ the program at first determines the total number of records and provides the user with a popup for confirmation.

3.Processing/Display
Step 1

The program saves the selection and user data in a separate table (J_4F_KAPRT). With the transaction SE16 the entries of this table can be displayed.

Step 2
IProcessing the program in batch (background) creates a list (Spool/SP01) with the following content:
  - Condition typet
  - Date of creation
  - Number of existing conditions per condition type
  - Date of the last use of one of this conditions
  - Number of the affected shipments
  - Percentage of the condition type in comparison to all other selected condition types
  - Freight amount per condition typet
  - Percentage of the freight amount per condition type in comparison to all other selected condition types
  - Fields of table ‘Condition types’  (J_4F_01)

Step 3
In case of the online processing the following ALV lists with hierarchical assignment are available:

  - Condition types (table J_4F_01)
  - Condition header per condition type (table J_4F_KKOPF)
  - Shipment header (VTTK)
On the result screen (level condition header) the function ‘Mark for deletion’ for condition records is available (mark all/unmark all/mark for deletion = status ‘D’).
The number of the fields to be displayed has to be defined in SAP standard (Display variant).

4. Authorizations
Both for the selection and for the function ‘Mark for deletion’ GPC has defined separate authorizations according to the SAP standard..

5. Physical deletion of condtions and condition types
Conditions have to be deleted according to SAP standards (J4F - Archiving).
However condition types have to be marked for deletion manually (Customizing) and can be deleted if no more active conditions exist in the system.
