Performance features of the GPC module
‘Freight statistics’
(Short description)

This module is used to collect microeconomic operating figures of processed shipments and to display them in a way which can be customized by the user individually.

1. Scale types for operating figures
- Weight
- Volume
- Freight costs
- Freight costs as a percentage of sales
- Freight related to the sales unit of measure
- Distance
- Number of shipments
- Number of deliveries, ...
 Several scale types can be combined, for example freight costs related to the weight.

2. Information sources
All documents and all master data related to the shipment can be used as an information source, e. g.:
- Delivery
- Order
- Customer invoice
- Shipping unit
- Material
- Creditor
- Ship-to, ...

3. Scales
The user can define individually scales for the scale types listed in 1., e. g. weight scales. this allows him to determine the customer specific load sizes and their distribution in the weight scale.

4. Technique of statistics creation
The creation of statistic records uses the condition technique. It controls the time, the contents and the corresponding dependencies of the statistic. It is possible to define several statistic types per document type.

5. Data processing
The statistic records are kept and administrated in a GPC file, which is independent of the transaction data. The system offers specific display and analyze transactions. It is also possible to download the data to PC data bases for further processing.

6. Reorganization & Archiving
Additional programs are provided for the compression of the data stocks (related to the date and shipment number) and for their reorganization and archiving.

7. Budgeting
In a second, additional function it is possible to define freight budgets analogue to the freight statistics. These budgets are used as debit guideline. In the analyze, the planned values are compared with the actual freight costs, which guarantees a permanent control of freight agreements and contracts.
